Happy Monday, friends! It's that time of year when guys and dolls start thinking about what to wear to their spring formal or prom. Planning for my own prom was stressful enough and I made sure to have enough time to get all of the details figured out. What style of dress did I want? What color and length? How did I want my hair to look? What type of shoes should I wear? This was the one night I would be able to get all dressed up and feel like a princess heading to a ball. I remember how excited and nervous I was at the same time. I had a blast dancing with my date and some of my friends, while also snapping some photos to capture the memories. It is funny to look back at the photos though haha. I was blown away at how different I look and how much my style has changed. Unfortunately, I do not have a full length photo of the dress. I do have one somewhere in an album at my parents house, but not one saved on my hard drive. It was actually my favorite part because of how flowy it was. Make sure to check out some throwback photos below!

If I could do it all over again, I would definitely wear this dress.  The detailing is exquisite and the full tulle skirt is the stuff that dreams are made of (extra points if you can tell me what movie that line is from!) The top has a soft blush hue with pink sequins and a sexy little cut out hole in the back. That's another reason why I'm so in love with this dress. It's modest, yet has an alluring back and some of the most beautiful detailing I've seen. No lie when I say that this is one of my most favorite dresses that I own. I wanted to wear my hair up for this look because of the back, but usually for every dance I would leave my hair down and curled.

Happy Monday, all! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. We finally decorated our house for Christmas and decorated the tree while listening to Christmas carols and sipping on hot chocolate. It's always one of my favorite traditions during this time of the year.

Speaking of the holidays, this is a great festive look that sparkles and shines, while having a fun pop of color and a little bit magic all rolled into one. The pink gingham shirt from Humble Chic is a great layering piece to add some color (and warmth!) to an ensemble during the winter season. I wanted to pair it with this striped sequin shirt, which has a great thicker material, to give it some color and make the outfit have a little bit of pop. The sequins and silver metallic shoes definitely feel very festive to me along with the tulle providing that little bit of whimsical magic. How about this pearl ear cuff too?! Talk about a beautiful conversation starter. I've never tried an ear cuff before, and I did have a bit of trouble getting it onto my ear, but once I did, I was amazed at how unique it looked.

Happy Friday!! One of my most favorite fabrics to wear is tulle. The very nature of it is overly feminine and delicate making it even more lovely. I always gravitate toward anything with tulle and always feel more beautiful with it on. This floral embroidered tulle skirt from Policy of Style is striking with its black and white pattern. It instantly draws the eye in and makes the outfit pop. Pairing it with pink, blush, and yellow tones continues the feminine theme for the outfit.

Policy of Style is a new online boutique created by a husband and wife team. Some of you may know Alyssa from her blog she's Alyssa Rene (check it out, she's amazing!) where you can also see how she styled this skirt here. I love being able to see people making their goals and dream become a reality. Policy of Style is all about expressing yourself through the voice of your own personal style. I'm also loving this dress for layering under a cozy vest this fall. Check them out!

Happy Monday all! I'm currently on my way down to the beach with my dad and Ava and can wait for a little get away, plus it's Ava's first big trip!

I love how clean and classic stripes are and always turn to them when I need some new ideas for an outfit. Pairing stripes with this tulle skirt feels not only feminine, but modern at the same time. These caged heels add a bit of edge to the look. You could also wear ballet flats or some heels for a more elegant ensemble.

I also wanted to talk about Inkess, a company that allows users to easily create and print unique designs of their amazing photos, favorite quotes, or random snapshots. Basically ou can have any graphic or slogan tee / iPhone / tote bag that you want! I was able to create the iPhone case I have here in the photos and I love how it came out. Plus, how inspiring is that quote?!? Here are a few other designs I came up with that you can shop below:

Happy Friday all! Nothing excites me more than a tulle skirt, especially one that is Disney inspired! The sweatshirt, skirt, and heels are all from Lauren Conrad's Cinderella collection for Kohls. Everything fits true to size and is so comfortable. Unfortunetly the sweatshirt is sold out, but the t-shirt with the same print is still available and the blue skirt is sold out, but the green floral pattern that I wore a few posts back for "Garden Party" is still available and linked above. LC also just announced her next Disney collection inspired by none other than Minnie Mouse! I am so looking forward to this one and hoping there are some stretchy pieces for me to wear! Enjoy your weekend loves!

Happy Monday all! I wanted something bright, happy, and to have a Spring like feel for this Monday morning. Nothing like a little inspiration to think Spring and get in the mood, even if the weather is not cooperating. Obviously I have a thing for tulle skirts and twirling in them. They always feel so beautiful and whimsical, which is why I adore them so. This peach one from Modcloth was featured back in the Fall in a Lady Like outfit that I love so much. Two different styles for such a pretty skirt.

It's no secret how much I love tulle and how much I shop the LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohls. Also, Disney. I need not get into my absolute love and devotion for Disney, but lets just say it has been there since I was a baby. I was absolutely thrilled to hear that LC was doing a special line for the Disney release of the live action film Cinderella. So far there are 10 pieces total and all have a whimisical feel to them. My favorite are the tulle skirts. How absolutely divine they are! They fit perfectly and have lots of puff to them. Here, I am wearing the Cindyhood blue skirt that features the famous castle on it. Along with Cindyhood below is Ballad Blue, which is a tiny bit darker and is a solid color. I cannot wait for the rest of the line to come out. Until then, I'll be styling my skirts and having a fabulous twirl worthy day!

Sigh, this is the skirt dreams are made of, well mine are at least. I have such a love for tulle skirts, especially ones that make me feel like a ballerina. While the skirt is very feminine, the other parts of the outfit are neutral, which balance each other out giving a nice lady like effect. I choose black as my neutral here and opted for a blush tone with the heels instead of black. It blends nicely with the skirt and also gives the illusion of longer legs. This is a perfect holiday outfit might I add. Glam, yet understated and completely lovely.

Twirling Tulle

Fabulous Fabric

ballerina dress

One fabric I love year round is tulle. I could simply wear this fabric forever and never tire of it. In essence, tulle has a whimsical and romantic quality to it. Its what ballerina skirts are made of and the choice fabric for wedding dresses and princess ball gowns everywhere. This LC Lauren Conrad dress not only combines tulle and lace together, but comes in the prettiest shade of blue there is. Not quite green enough for mint and not quite powdery enough for baby blue, this falls somewhere in between the two creating a wonderfully beautiful palette. Notice the collar too, this dress has always been one of my favorites from LC's line and continues to be one of my choice dresses to wear for any event. I wore my mint green metallic cap toe heels from Zara to complete the look.

jewlery

The jewelery for this outfit consisted of an aqua marine and gold bracelet of my mother's, along with a sapphire and gold necklace also belonging to her.  I've been wearing this necklace almost every day since my everyday necklace, the gold heart Justin gave me, broke along the chain. It's currently being fixed, but I needed another one to wear in the mean time. The earrings, not visible here, are also from my mother; gold hearts with pink enamel along the one edge.

This had to be one of my favorite outfits to photograph. I felt like a ballerina and fairy princess all rolled into one. Believe me, there were many twirling moments that occurred. I kept my hair up in a big loose ballerina bun accented by a pearl headband. The glittery gold shoes are another recent addition to my collection. I fell in love with the Enzo Angiolini brand since they fit so well and look stylish, while also being comfortable to walk in. Jewelry wise I wanted to keep it simple. My usual necklace and bracelet (the necklace a gift from Justin and the tennis bracelet from my mom) with pink earrings and an additional pink rhinestone bracelet. The dress was a gift from Justin for my most recent birthday.
