Classically Feminine with Daniel Wellington

Daniel Wellington Watch c/o || Similar Pink Chiffon Top || Similar Chiffon Shorts || Karen Walker Sunnies || Humble Chic Tote Bag c/o || Similar Studded Heels || Lip Color || Otterbox Case c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band ||

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and had a happy father's day if you celebrated. Ava and I took my dad out to breakfast, which is his absolute favorite meal of the day. We ran some errands together, went to the grave sites, had a lovely bbq with family friends, and then my brother and his fiance came over for dinner. It was a jam packed day with so many good memories. Ava also had a big Saturday with her first trip to an amusement park! It was her friend's 2nd birthday party at Knoebel's and we had an amazing time. She got to ride the train with me, which was a highlight since that's one of my favorite rides. It takes you through the woods and you get to see all of the beautiful scenery while having the summer breeze blow through your hair. She has the biggest smile on her face!

My favorite style to wear is anything classically feminine. I feel the most comfortable and "me" when I wear pieces that have romance intertwined and woven throughout the outfit. Soft beautiful colors and dreamy fabrics like chiffon, silk, and tulle make my heart pitter patter. When carefully choosing which pieces i'm going to wear for the day, I also want to make sure my accessories match and have an elegant feel to them. I've recently been wearing watches every single day. I used to wear them when I was younger, but stopped a few years ago. Now, you won't find me without one! Watches are a timeless piece of jewelry that both men and woman can wear, which are not only practical, but stylish too. Daniel Wellington watches have a thin clean design that are suitable for any occasion. The watch has either a leather strap or a NATO one, both easily interchangeable. I'm wearing the classic St. Mawes leather strap, but also have the South Hampton NATO strap. I'm completely head over heels for the rose gold face too! ~Swoon~ Each watch can use the interchangeable straps making every one of them unique.

Pink Scallops + Headbands of Hope

Humble Chic Pink Scalloped Dress c/o || Headbands of Hope Crystal Band c/o || Freyrs Pink Sunnies c/o || Humble Chic Pearl Jacket Earrings c/o || Humble Chic Pink French Scarf c/o || Ralph Lauren Bag || Pink Heels || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Lip Color ||

Without a doubt, my favorite color would have to be pink (as if you haven't noticed!) I love its bright and cheery nature while being fun and feminine at the same time. It's an instant mood booster! It's no surprise then how much I adore this ensemble of pretty pinks all working flawlessly together. The dress features the most darling detail with a chic scalloped hemline that I'm completely head over heels about! It's a shift dress making it super comfortable to wear, especially in the hazy lazy days of summer.  One of my favorite ways to wear a scarf is actually around the bag handle I'm carrying. Sometimes in the cooler months I'll wear one around my neck, but when spring and summer hit I immediately start tying them to my bags. It's a great way to add some color in or simply "just because." The scarf I'm using here has equestrian chain-print motif on it with beautiful bright colors and the silkiest feel.

The leaf diamond trim headband I'm wearing not only is a stunning piece, but also has a good cause behind it. Headbands of Hope provides one headband to a child with cancer for each item sold. Since their creation in April 2012, they have donated headbands to every children's hospital in the U.S. They believe that fashion can be the greatest vehicle to a positive self identity. I could not agree more. This is a wonderful cause to support. On their site is a Giving Gallery of the children who have received headbands and the smiles on their faces is heartwarming. This is a cause I would be more than happy to promote time and time again. I cannot imagine the pain of finding out your child has cancer and knowing the battle that lies ahead. Providing them with a beautiful headband can be a ray shining light in their lives while fighting this horrible disease. Please take a look at their website and consider getting behind this cause too!

Pink Chiffon Skirt

Crop Top Shirt || Romwe Pink Chiffon Skirt c/o || Rebecca Minkhoff Bag || Silver Heels || Rumba Time Watch c/o || Humble Chic Earrings c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Lip Color ||

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends and if you are in the U.S., then I hope you enjoyed the unofficial start to summer with Memorial Day! We had a nice cookout with my brother and his fiance and even had some birthday cake to celebrate my birthday, which was this past Sunday. That was very thoughtful of them! We got little Ava all dressed up in a dress with little stars on the skirt. She was a little cutie pie <3

This pink chiffon skirt is the definition of dreamy. The fabric is lightweight and swishes beautifully when walking or if a subtle breeze passes by. It is a maxi style and i'm happy to say it did not drag on the ground! That's a huge plus for us shorter gals. I'm also wearing a size small, which fit perfectly. The best part is that its under $18. I felt absolutely beautiful wearing it. To me, that's quite a testament to an item when you can put it on and instantly feel transformed to your best self. This crop top is beyond cute! I love the bright pattern and how its a bit longer than most crop tops. One of my favorite way to wear a crop top is with a higher waisted skirt. It's a trend that is here to stay and a modest way to wear it. The threader earrings are subtle but have an major impact with their sleek and modern design. They shine beautifully in the light and can be worn three different ways.

Georgetown

Black Chiffon Top || Gingham Pants || Kate Spade Straw Bag || Jean Jacket || Karen Walker Sunnies via Shop Ditto, sold out (Similar Here) || Silver Strap Heels || Starburst Earrings || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band || Rumba Time Watch c/o ||

If there was one word to describe Georgetown, it would have to be charming. It's one of my favorite spots to visit while I'm in D.C. This was the last destination for my dad and I while we were in D.C. I wanted him to see one of JFK's homes while he was living there before becoming president elect, the shops and restaurants, and all of the lovely homes. This post is special because I got to take some of my photos at JFK's old home (its the tall brick one I'm standing by with the green door.) For our outing, I wore these chic gingham pants that fit perfectly. I usually have trouble with pants since I'm petite. I found out that Old Navy has a petite section (online only) and decided to give it a try. Success! I got a 0 petite and could not be happier with them. So for all you of shorter gals out there definitely give their petite section a try! These silver heels are so dreamy! I feel in love as soon as I saw them. The chunky heels makes them a breeze to walk in and the pointy toe keeps them sophisticated and polished. I knew going to Georgetown in them would be a great test since some of the sidewalks are brick lined and I had no trouble in these.

Some More Images From The Day:

So as I mentioned before, this brick home belonged to JFK and Jackie right before he became President. It's the most famous of all the homes he owned while living in Georgetown. There's some various pretty photos around town. My dad and I made sure to eat at Martin's Tavern where it's said that JFK proposed to Jackie in what they now have marked as "The Proposal Booth." It's usually reserved by couple looking to make that big step! While we were sitting there, a couple actually did become engaged. We were sitting right next to the booth too and watched the whole thing happen. The restaurant erupted in cheers and clapping. It was so exciting! I also have a photo of my dad sitting in the "rumble booth" where JFK would sit every Sunday to have his breakfast while reading the paper. After hitting JFK's home and Martin's Tavern, we walked around town and stopped in some shops, ultimately making our way to a bookstore where we found some goodies. We got some coffee's and continued to stroll around the town and take in all of the sights. Before we headed over to Georgetown, we took a walk down to the White House. I've been fascinated by Presidential history my whole life and always make sure to stop down while I'm in town.

Style London

Stripes seem to be a print that dominate my wardrobe. They have that cool preppy chic feel about them and they always pop. I can't help but to be drawn to them! This dress from Style London is a mixed media with stripes on top and swirl of blue and red on the bottom. The skirt actually reminds me of the sky right after the sun has set when the colors are rich and saturated. I love how this dress stands out from the crowd. For whatever reason their website seems to be down, but here's a link to their Facebook. I'm wearing a size small, but found it to be slightly big on me.

Floral Lace in the City

Floral Lace Dress || Kate Spade Bag || Karen Walker Sunnies via Shop Ditto (Similar Here) || Boater Hat || Gold Loafers || Rumba Time Watch || Starburst Earrings || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band ||

Two things I make sure to bring with me on trips are dresses and a good pair of flats. Dresses are the simply chic outfit all in one, while a pair of dressier flats will keep you looking polished and your feet happy while exploring. I knew that my dad and I would be doing tons and tons of walking while in D.C. (that's the fun part!) so I packed these slip on gold pointed loafers. The classic mens wear inspired shoe never fails and kept me going all day long without any discomfort. I always prefer a pointed toe to keep the look modern. The purple and pink floral print with the lace detailing could not be any more lovely. It's the perfect dress for Sunday brunch, a day of sightseeing, or a fun date night filled with walks in the park, ice cream, and a movie. I'm wearing a size small for reference.

For the beginning of this day in D.C., my dad and I did a tour of the Capitol building and went to Union Station to meet some friends of mine. We then all had lunch al fresco at a new restaurant called Romero and Juliet. It's right near Union Station and I highly recommend it if you're in the neighborhood. Next, we all trekked down to the Library of Congress. I kept joking that I was waiting for Nick Cage to pop out at any time! Both the Capitol and Library are magnificent buildings. I was blown away by the grandeur and architecture between the two. Simply breathtaking. Below are some indoor photos from each.

When Life Gives You Lemons....

Lemon Dress sold out, similar favorites (here), (here), Longer version(here), and (here)|| Boater Hat || Kate Spade Bag || Similar Espadrille Sneakers || Rumba Time Watch c/o || Jean Jacket c/o || Starburst Earrings || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band ||

Happy Monday, friends! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends and if you live on the east coast, that the rain didn't hamper you plans too much.

I don't know about you, but I love to travel. If at all possible, I jump at the opportunity to travel, explore, and have an adventure. Washington DC is one of the destinations that if I could live there, I would without hesitation. There is an energy to the city that I just eat up. Plus, the people are friendlier and the city is cleaner than others I've been too. The first day my dad and I arrived for our weekend trip, I wore this lemon printed dress with a darling neck tie and pleated skirt. Pretty much everything I love in a dress all rolled into one! I adore how vibrant the lemon print is with yellow flowers and a little ruffle hem at the sleeve. Unfortunately, it sold out pretty quick, but I have very similar ones linked here as well. We enjoyed cocktails and horderves on the rooftop terrace while the sun was setting. It was wonderful to chat and catch up while taking in all of the scenery around us.  Then we all got ready to stroll around town and eventually headed to dinner at Clyde's restaurant. Afterwards, we walked around town a bit more and topped off the night with some ice cream before heading back. Truly a magical night to remember!

Also, thanks to my dad for shooting all of the photos of me! He's one in a million <3

Tea Party with My Custom Candy

I must admit, I do have a bit of a sweet tooth and love to indulge in them sometimes! When I had started to create the custom heart candies, I wanted to include them in a special event. What better than a tea party?! My love for tea must have come from my mom. She would drink it all the time and we eventually started drinking it together whenever we would watch Murder, She Wrote. We would drink tea and have some maple cookies while we tried to solve the mystery along side Jessica Fletcher. This also marked Ava's first time attending a tea party, even though she was a bit young to partake in the goodies, her eyes lit up as soon as she saw the colorful table.

These custom candies are perfect for parties, events, birthday's, Valentine's Day, or just as a special thinking of you gift. First, you can choose up to three different colors. Next, you can select text, an emoji, or upload a company logo. Finally, you can choose either bulk or custom packaging. It could not be more simple than that! My three words are "Enchant," "Elegance," and "Love Bug." The colorful candy with meaningful words on them were such a big hit and such a lovely detail to add.

One of the top trends that is still going strong this season is a throwback to the 70's. This light blue off the shoulder top has the cutest bell sleeve detail and is under $15. A huge steal! It is very wrinkle prone though. I threw this in the dryer and then ironed it and still had some left over wrinkles. I love how light and airy feeling it is, perfect for a summer's day! I'm wearing an XS for reference. To go along with the outfit, I grabbed this saddle/tan leather tote to stash all of my essentials in for the day. It's actually reversible (yay!) making this a two for one deal. Also, I'm loving the gold tone hardware on the bag. Always a plus in my book. It's those little details that really make a product stand out.

Don't forget to check my instagram out today for an exclusive giveway I'm hosting with Otterbox for their Crystal Symmetry Series (I'm holding the gold above.) Two lucky winners will be randomly chosen to receive a free crystal case (either gold or mystic crystal.) Good luck everyone!!

Little Black Dress

Happy Friday, friends! One item that every woman should own is a little black dress. It is a staple piece made famous by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. If you haven't seen the movie, stop what you are doing are go watch it! This strapless style from Humble Chic has a nice thick fabric that looks and feels wonderful. Lets not forget the fit and flare skirt! Unfortunately, this specific dress is sold out currently, but should be replaced soon. I wanted to wear the dress out for daytime and decided to throw on a jean jacket over it. This keeps the look casual while still being polished. The pops of pink add some feminine flair. I'm literally obsessed with these shoes too! I love the slip ons with a wrap style bow and the gorgeous shade of pink.

Does anyone have any plans for the weekend? I'll be taking a little trip to Washington D.C. to see the sights and visit with some relatives. I'm definitely excited to be doing some traveling.

Off The Shoulder Red Dress

Midi dresses have always been a favorite of mine. They have a demure allure to them, while still being fun and flirty. I love the bright red color too! It reminds me of the patriotic summer holidays or even around Christmas time. This dress would work for so many different occasions. The material is nice and thick and feels way more expensive then it is ($29.83!) It actually feels like a scuba suit and has a good stretch to it. I'm wearing a size xs, but found it to be slightly too big on me. These embellished flats have become a fast favorite of mine too. I love to wear heels and do quite often, but lets be honest, when I'm doing a lot of traveling around I like to wear a chic pair of flats. The streamlined pointed toe along with the rhinestone and sequin daisies make these stand out from the rest of the crowd! I've been wearing them every where lately since this whole past week has been one errand after the other. It's been one of those busy busy weeks!

Happy Monday, loves! This weekend flew by in a flash. Seriously, why does this always happen with the weekends?! For any mama's out there, I hope you had an amazing Mother's Day! I was able to celebrate my first one with family and close friends. They made the day absolutely magical with a brunch they put together and let me tell you, the details were incredible. I'll have to post some pictures from it later on. Below are two images of Ava and I from my instagram. My dad got me some flowers and also cooked a nice lobster dinner. It's a day that will go down in the memory books.

Ever since the cherry blossoms bloomed, all of my outfits seem to be revolving around pink! Not a bad thing ;) This skirt reminds me of candy stripes with its flirty feminine details. I went for a dressier vibe with heels and a silk bow tie blouse, but this skirt could also be dressed down with some cute flats and a chambray top. I've been obsessed with these color blocked heels ever since I got them! The bright colors are so fun and put a smile on my face. Plus, no pain after walking around all day in them!

Dreamy Pink

Happy Friday, all! Finally, we made it to the weekend! For all of the beautiful mother's out there, happy mother's day to you! Being a mother is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. Having Ava gave me a whole new perspective on life and she still enlightens me with new thoughts and dreams every day.

This crop top and skirt set is absolutely dreamy. It was the perfect day to wear this set with the warm sunshine and pretty cherry blossoms at their peak. My dad and I took Ava for a walk so we could all experience the blossoms at their finest. As soon as the warm weather hits I also grab all of my straw bags out. I'm really craving summer right now! The black leather and straw combo with gold hardware is chic and a great size as a carry around town bag. I usually shy away from crop tops, but this set feels classy enough with only a slight bit of skin showing. I've mentioned this before, but I totally love how you can mix and match the top and skirt with different items in a set. Makes it a two for one deal!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Blue Striped Dress

If you live on the east coast then I'm sure you've been experiencing the rain and cooler temps that we've been having. What happened to all of the nice warm weather?!? I'm crossing my fingers for spring to return soon!

My most favorite color combo is blush and blue. The bright royal blue of this dress and clutch really pop beautifully against a neutral color like blush. This dress has a classic cool French girl feeling with the stripes and fitted style. It is a bit on the shorter side so taller girls may find this to be too short for them. Anything with stripes reminds me of either nautical or Parisian styles. Sometimes when I'm traveling light, I'll opt for a smaller bag like this wristlet to carry all of my essentials. I can usually fit my phone, keys, lipstick, mirror, credit cards, and cash without hassle. On this particular day, I took a quick trip with Ava down to Josie's Italian Water Ice for some gelati. I let her taste some of the vanilla gelato and she loved it!

I mean, how fun are they?! I always picture myself wearing an item to a specific event when I'm considering buying it. Does anyone else do this? This dress, I pictured myself at the beach browsing around shops and taking in a dinner al fresco with the sea breeze gently fluttering my dress and hair. I really want summer to get here, haha! If there was one handbag that I have always set my sights on, it would be a Chanel. I've dreamed of owning my own for as long as I can remember. Simply saying the name Chanel brings to mind class and elegance. I could never afford a new Chanel bag, or most high end designers for that matter, but a used one in mint condition? Now that is all together possible! Trendlee is an online destination where you can buy or sell pre-owned designer luxury handbags at a fraction of the cost. I never would have been able to tell the bag I had was pre-owned. Only items that are in excellent to very good condition are sold. Also, authenticity is taken very seriously and guaranteed. I'm completely in love with the silver and bright blue combination of the bag I'm wearing. While a large investment, designer handbags are a timeless piece of any wardrobe that can be passed down for generations to come.

I've been smitten with little white dresses lately. Every time spring and summer rolls around, I always start to gravitate towards them. The crisp fresh feeling they evoke has me head over heels! Adding in a pop of color keeps the look youthful and fun.

Happy Friday, friends! A few days ago, I got to take Ava for a picnic at our local park to enjoy an afternoon out together. The weather could not have been more splendid. I packed all kinds of goodies that would be tasty for snacking/lunch time. There were berries, brie, crackers, a salad, macarons, and some wine. Ava even had her little lunch of formula too! She was asleep when we first got there, so I let her nap in the stroller while I set up with this gorgeous pink polka dot throw. It is seriously one of the softest blankets I've ever felt. Plus, its reversible making it like getting two throws for one. The cute fringe on the ends, along with the dot patter, puts such a big smile on my face. This was not planned, but did you see Ava's sun hat? It matches the blanket!

When I first saw this gingham top and short set, I thought wouldn't they look great together on a picnic!? I've been totally smitten with gingham lately, too. As I mentioned before, the print has that summery feeling and what is more summery than a fun filled picnic on a warm afternoon. What I love about a matching set is that I can wear each piece separately to create so many different outfits! The top is slightly cropped and has a boxy look to it. The shorts  are high waisted and super comfortable. They even have a retro vibe to them, which is right up my ally ;)

Gingham is one of those prints that instantly brings to mind spring and summer. Memories of sunshine filled days spent outside enjoying life. This past weekend I got to make some new memories while wearing this black and white gingham dress, which was perfect for the occasion. My dad, Ava, Caitlin, and I all went to the Poconos for breakfast, antiquing, stopped for some ice cream, took a side trip to see a lake, and arrived home just in time for dinner. We had a great time.

The one worker at the antique store said he loved my vintage themed outfit and how perfect it was for the spring weather. For under $30, the quality of the fabric is great and has a fun filled and fancy free feeling to it. I'm already planning all of the different ways I'll be wearing this dress all summer ranging from tan accessories like I have here, to pops of red, or even all black. This dress is a maxi style, which worried me because of my height (i'm 5'2) but I added some wedges and had no problem at all, plus they are super comfy! I'm also wearing a size XS and found it to be a little bit tight. I probably could have gone with a small and had a bit more breathing room.

Happy Monday, friends. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. We were blessed with some amazingly beautiful weather and I made sure to spend as much of it outside as we possibly could. There were many walks, ice cream dates, drives to enjoy scenery, antiquing, and to finish it off a lovely bbq where we dined al fresco as the sun set.

There is something so incredibly romantic about white lace. It's hard not to feel lovely and feminine in it. The details of this dress definitely make it a knock out choice. The floral patterned lace with a lattice trim make this a swoon worthy option. I'm already planning the multiple places I'll be wearing it! I've been sporting these white criss cross heels non-stop lately too. They're my go-to choice for basically everything I've been wearing. They pair so well with an endless variety of outfits and no doubt will be in constant rotation for the spring and summer.
