What I Wear At Home

Good morning, friends! One of my absolute favorite things to do is to slip into some cozy lounge wear at the end of a long day. Its the beginning of my routine to help me unwind, relax, and get settled in for the night ahead. While I love to get dressed up when heading out, I equally love to get comfortable when I’m at home. Being comfortable does not mean having to forsake being put together! Lounge wear has come a long way in recent years, even being an ensemble itself. Joggers are pretty popular to be seen out and about now. I try to keep mine for when I’m around the house doing some chores or relaxing with a good book. Speaking of, the book I’m reading above, my current read, is The Fabulous Bouvier Sisters. I am so engrossed in this book! I take it everywhere with me just so I can catch a page here or there. You can almost always find me with a cup of hot tea and a good book in my hand.

These slippers are the perfect addition to any pajama or lounge wear items you may have. I love wearing the socks with a cozy nightgown or shorts set. Did you catch the adorable little bows on the back of the plush pink slippers?!? Not only do they feel like you’re walking on air, but they’re just as pretty with little details like this.

Cozy Slippers:

Below you’ll find some other lounge wear and pajama favorites of mine. You’ll find everything from cute prints, classic sets, beautiful colors, and of course the number one objective…being cozy and chic!

Pops Of Leopard

The humid weather finally broke the other day and I could not be happier! I dare say there was even a chill in the air to where I felt like I should have had a jacket on. No joke, when I let Belle out to go to the bathroom, I was actually shivering. It's crazy how the weather can switch from being a sauna to an ice box all within a day or two. In any case, it was time to pull out some fall favorites! Don't get me wrong, I'm still soaking up as much summer as I can since I know I'll miss it once its gone, but fall is my favorite season, especially the transition part. This is a time to layer and experiment with different textures and looks. I love how I can mix summer and fall together during with some transition styles.

This was a look I put together for the Nsale back in July. I love the polished feel the outfit has with a playful side of the forever fall favorite leopard. Once fall hits, I instantly start using leopard like a neutral too. The leopard pocket is the cutest little detail and obviously what won me over about the top. The shirt is so versatile, perfect for work or after hours, even some weekend fun! You can tuck the shirt into a black or burgundy skirt, add some heels and voila office chic. Wear the top with some skinny jeans and leopard flats and you have a laid back effortless weekend look. There are endless possibilities. These jeans too, love them! They're so soft and fit great with a streamlined look and nice dark rinse. If you're on the shorter side (wave hi, I am too :p ) you'll probably need to roll the hem just a bit. I usually do this with most of the jeans I own.

Bell Sleeve Dress

Bell Sleeve Dress (On Sale) || Leopard Bag || Burgundy Spike Heels || Humble Chic Olive Branch Earrings c/o || Socialite Pink Necklace c/o || Marc Bale Watch c/o || The Peach Box Bangle c/o || Jackie Kennedy Unity Band ||

It's no secret that I'm a fan of any type of flowy beautiful dress, but especially ones that can be worn through various seasons and have fun details. How about these bell sleeves?! A true nod to the 70s trend going on, but with an updated and polished feel. I'm totally in love with the plum color too! It's absolutely gorgeous for the transitioning season in and throughout fall. This would even make a great layering dress with some tights or a faux fur vest around the holidays. This dress, leopard bag, and spiked heels are all part of the nordstrom anniversary sale still going on until August 7th. Still a few more days to grab those fab pieces for almost half off the price!

This rose gold mesh watch from Marc Bale and rose gold bangle from The Peach Box have my heart fluttering. I'm obsessed with rose gold pieces and find they flatter any skin tone. The watch is so feminine and elegant with a timeless feel. It makes a huge statement without being over the top.

Cozy Cardi + Riding Boots

Happy Monday, friends! This is one of my favorite fall inspired outfits. I love being curled up in a cozy cardi when the weather has a bit of chill in the air. The rich burgundy color is beautiful. Its my new favorite color for fall! Riding boots are my go-to fall and winter shoe too. I would order 1/2 a size up in these for the best fit. I have my normal size and they're a bit tight around my foot. The leather is absolutely gorgeous. I also love that the boot shaft is on the narrower side, making these a good choice for girls with narrow calves like I have. There's still a few size left so make sure to get yours before they're gone! I'm not going to lie, it was extremely hot when I photographed this outfit, haha! Summer is going strong for sure, but I am a tiny bit excited for fall to arrive after putting together these nsale outfits, which runs until August 8th.

Happy Thursday, loves! It's almost the weekend, which I am so excited about. We're supposed to take Ava to get her photo with Santa. We'll see how that goes haha. I cannot wait to dress her up in her Christmas outfit. It was a bit chilly yesterday so I had to pull out my winter coats. Tis that time of year! At least it's not below zero yet (shudders at the thought.)

My favorite type of jewelry lately has been rose gold. I'm completely obsessed with it! The beautiful pinkish hue compliments any skin tone and reminds me of my favorite blush color. Add a little bit of sparkle to that and you have the perfect piece of jewelry. I'm particularly in love with these rose gold earrings and ring from The Peach Box. They're dainty enough to wear for everyday occasions and add just a hint of dazzle for evenings out. While I do love a statement piece, I have smaller features, which look better with smaller pieces of jewelry. Makes sense, right?! My new favorite dress is this blue floral one from Chicwish. The color is so vibrant with an intricate floral design of pretty pinks and greens. This dress transitions from spring and summer with its chiffon construction and floral print, into fall and winter with its saturated blue background layered with a coat/jacket.

I don't know about you, but my bags always seem to be disorganized. I basically toss everything in and then have to rummage around when I need something. Being a mom on the go means I'm always lugging around two bags; my own personal one and of course Ava's diaper bag. Both need to be organized so I can grab what I need at a moments notice. I was absolutely delighted to find Tote Savvy, which allows me to turn my everyday tote into a diaper bag and keep it perfectly organized. A win-win in my book! The organizer has various pockets for such things as diapers, wipes, bottles, toys, extra clothes, changing mat, and even my phone, magazines, wallet, and keys. A complete lifesaver. Now, I can stylishly carry my own totes and have them also be my diaper bag. The great thing is, the organizer can also be used for traveling, the gym, or even the beach or pool. Genius idea! This Humble Chic wallet I recently got fits perfectly into the organizer too. I'm not one for bulky wallets that take up too much space. This one is compact and fits all of the essentials.

Yay! It's finally Friday! My weekend is jam packed yet again. Two exciting events I'll be going to are a holiday tea with my dad and going to see James Bond again with him. When I like a movie, I go to see it more than once! It's been raining non-stop here the past couple of days, but the weekend should be clear. Fingers crossed!

I love how this outfit feels like something Audrey Hepburn would wear, but updated and modernized. The back of this blouse from Humble Chic has the prettiest bow detail that just calls for your hair to be pulled up or off to the side. It needs to be seen! Having a nice little added detail really makes an outfit more unique in my opinion. I always gravitate to the special little "extras" such as bows, sequins, fringe, and so on. I wanted to keep the look extra feminine with all of the bows and a hint of sparkle. With the holidays creeping closer each day, I inevitably add some glitz to all of my looks. Do not be afraid to add a touch of glam to your everyday outfits either. It is something that need not only be for night and is especially perfect during this time of the year. The pearl crystal necklace has a beautiful ladylike feel to it that pulls this whole look together.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Whenever I travel, I always dress for the destination in mind. My dad, Ava, and I all traveled down to Valley Forge this past Friday for a seminar. I always go to the park and explore all the beautiful scenery it has to offer. Knowing that I'll be doing quite a bit of walking, I opted for flat boots that would be practical for the fall weather. There's nothing quite like seeing all of the beautiful leaves together in one place, whether they be still on the trees or blanketing the ground. There was a heavy fog lifting when we arrived that gave a mystical feeling. I'm always drawn to plaid in the fall, or any time of the year really, and wanted to layer it in a cozy glam faux fur vest. I'm been getting a lot of miles out of vests lately, you can never go wrong with them! The weather was cool, but getting warmer in the afternoon when I could simply take off the vest and be comfortable. To add another touch of elegance, I added this pearl crystal statement necklace from Humble Chic. I've been wearing this a lot lately since it goes with everything and adds class to any look. This would be a great necklace for the holidays as either a gift or to add some sparkle to your look!

Happy Tuesday, friends! The weather is starting to get cool again and I'm not sure how I feel about that haha! I was loving the Indian Summer we were having, but alas, it is November and I suppose that means some cool temps. Luckily it hasn't been too bad and I can still get away with wearing a layered look without a coat. When I want that extra bit of warmth and a pulled together look, I reach for one of my vests. They're great to put on top of a t-shirt, button downs, or even a light or chunky sweater. This tee is nice and soft without being too sheer. I'm not a fan of shirts, especially white tees, that are see through. I also love how its longer in the back which is great for leggings. Does anyone else love pockets as much as I do? I realized going through these pictures that Im always putting my hands into my vest pockets. I mean, they're pretty great!

Happy Monday! Being a photographer, I was immediately drawn to this dress the moment I saw it. The peter pan collar and camera print are so charming together along with the fit and flare styling, which in my opinion is always flattering. If I want to have some fun with an outfit, I always grab a printed dress or skirt. There's something quirky and unique about having a print piece and never boring. To keep with the photo exploration theme, I chose these rose gold loafers since I would not be wearing heels while doing a full day of traveling or walking around in the woods. The rose gold is sold out, but silver and black do remain. I always wear these when I want to look sharp while wearing flats.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends. Luckily, my family is on the mend from our colds and feeling better. Friday I took Ava down to Valley Forge with my dad. Saturday Justin and I saw the Martian and Sunday we saw Spectre. I know some of you were saying you were going to see Bond as well. What did you think? I personally liked it, but thought it wasn't as good as Skyfall. I'm so conflicted on the ending too. I do not want to spoil the ending for those who have not seen it, but I do not want it to end like that haha.

Needless to say it was a  bit intense. Anyone else going to see Bond this weekend? Ive been counting down the days for this movie, and as long as I'm feeling well enough, I'm definitely going to see it!

Today Im sharing this chic layered look I wore for a day out with little Ava. If you've been following this blog for a while, you'll know I have an affinity for all things that sparkle, including this gorgeous sequin jacket (im wearing an xsmall.) I've become a bit obsessed with it and cannot wait to pair it with some holiday looks coming up. The holidays are all about some sparkle! A wonderful Wednesday to everyone! I hope you have been getting out to enjoy the nice weather that has been occurring these past few days. It literally feels like spring with sunshine, blue skies, and temps in the low 70s. I'm in heaven! If only the good weather would last haha. I've been taking Ava on walks and even got to visit with my brother and have a bon fire last night to catch up on our lives.

It has been well noted that I adore blush and blue tones mixed together. Another color that goes fabulously well with blue? Kelly green. It really pops and mixes nicely with any color in the blue family. I'm also wearing some new pieces from Trending Above, a beautiful collection of timeless jewelry that is classic, while still being on trend with some glitz and glam added in. I'm completely obsessed with every piece! Can I buy them all haha? The dangle earrings, rose gold ring, and crystal bracelet are gorgeous pieces that I will be wearing non stop! I've already had them on a few days in a row now and received so many questions about where I got them from and how pretty they are. I'm also crushing on this gold flower vase, this crystal necklace, these gold crystal earrings, and this rose gold ring.

If there is one shirt that I have been wearing over and over again, it's this striped turtleneck that is under $17! Just take a look at my instagram and you'll see me wearing it in a few different shots. I love being able to layer it under sweaters or wear it as a stand alone for when the weather is warmer, which thankfully it has been so far this November. Fingers crossed it stays this way for a little bit! I've really been getting into turtlenecks more this season and plan on adding a few more to my closet.

I also wanted to talk about Stiletto Sock. It can be used to store, organize, travel, move, protect, basically anything that will keep your shoes clean and pristine. For me personally, this is a great way to store my shoes while traveling to ensure nothing gets on them. I usually place my shoes on the bottom of my suitcase, but still worry that some dirt that I missed could transfer from my shoe to my clothes. You just never know! This way, being kept in the Stiletto Sock, my shoes and clothes do not have to touch and I can rest easy knowing both will stay clean.

Happy Friday!! One of my most favorite fabrics to wear is tulle. The very nature of it is overly feminine and delicate making it even more lovely. I always gravitate toward anything with tulle and always feel more beautiful with it on. This floral embroidered tulle skirt from Policy of Style is striking with its black and white pattern. It instantly draws the eye in and makes the outfit pop. Pairing it with pink, blush, and yellow tones continues the feminine theme for the outfit.

Policy of Style is a new online boutique created by a husband and wife team. Some of you may know Alyssa from her blog she's Alyssa Rene (check it out, she's amazing!) where you can also see how she styled this skirt here. I love being able to see people making their goals and dream become a reality. Policy of Style is all about expressing yourself through the voice of your own personal style. I wore this layered look while out getting Ava bugs first pumpkin in the breezy cool weather. It was a quick trip for sure with all of us being chilled. I did not even have my camera with me so we had to take our photos on the iPhone. Later on in the day, and with much less wind, I took the photos above with a different scarf on. I absolutely adore wearing layers since it adds interest and dimension to an outfit. I recently picked up this Pendleton quilted vest while down at Peddler's Village and absolutely love it. It's lightweight enough to wear under a jacket like I am here, but also gives just the right amount of warmth for when the breeze is picking up a notch. I hope everyone is staying warm!

Today I'm wearing this plaid knit cardigan from Shein and it's under $30! I love how you can simply throw it on and have an instant outfit. For look number one I wanted to go a bit more casual, but still have a put together look. The second look incorporates a dressier feel with a bright red dress and some studded heels. The cardigan actually reminds me of a blanket scarf, which makes me love it that much more! The sizing is a one size fits all and I had no trouble with wearing it.

Happy Friday lovelies! I think everyone can agree that a plaid shirt is essential for your fall wardrobe. Am I right?! I love how this one mixes in the chambray detail making it unique and classic. You could wear it casual like I did with jeans and booties or with a circle skirt for a little extra glam look. This was the perfect casual comfy outfit for the second day of our trip in the Finger Lakes. I wanted something easy, casual, and classic. We were also traveling back home so I needed my outfit to be comfy. As I mentioned before here, Justin and I love to drive around and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We always stop at Gimme Coffee in Trumansburg to fuel up. I've always adored their latte's in particular. We stopped off at the Allan H Treman State Marine Park for our picnic before we left. It was an amazingly gorgeous day to sit and gaze out at the harbor with the pretty sail boats passing by. Definitely a spot I would recommend if you ever have the chance.

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

One of our favorite places to visit is the Finger Lakes in New York. Justin and I had our "mini moon" there right after our wedding in 2011. Our big honeymoon was Disney the following year. What we personally love is to drive around while sipping on our coffee or tea and enjoy the beautiful scenery all around us. Bully Hill near Keuka Lake is our favorite winery hands down. It carries the Ravat 51, pictured above, which has a very sweet pineapple taste. If you can, definitely try this out! The other detail photos of the apples, corn, and flowers were also taken around the Bully Hill winery. They have amazing landscaping. The photo of Justin, Ava and I was taken down by Keuka Lake on the little park where we had a picnic. We'll bring our own food and a portable grill to have picnics next to the lakes whenever we get hungry. It's a fantastic way to enjoy being outside. This year was a quick over night trip with the first day simply being to drive around, stop at Bully Hill, and have picnics along the lakes. It's so relaxing since there is hardly any traffic on the back roads and you can drive for miles and miles at your own pace.

I knew our first day there was going to be on the cooler side so I pulled out this striped sweater, which is light weight and super soft, to layer under the cape. I wanted something relaxed and easy for the drive and any walking or picnicking we would be doing. The cape added just the right amount of warmth for a fall day without over heating. I never had to take it off and I love how versatile it is! Riding boots are essential for me when it comes to fall and winter styles. I practically live in them. This LC pair has gotten so much use and has a fantastic quality for being under $70.

Has anyone ever been to the Finger Lakes? If you are traveling there and have any questions please let me know! Stay tuned for our second day there.

Do not let the title of this post fool you, it is not quite winter yet, although this weekend sure did feel like it in NEPA. Wow, did it get cold out with temperatures dipping down into the low 30s. There were even flurries in the air on Sunday. That it way too soon for my liking! Anyway, the monochromatic colors for this outfit are crisp and clean in winter white. I love this white color in particular for the cooler months since it has a creamier appearance. The colorful necklace from Micha Store also really pops against a neutral background. A simple and elegant piece with beautiful colors of pinks, blues, greens, and clear stones. There is nothing like finding a piece of jewelry that you know will match so many different items in your wardrobe and with a price point under $15, you cannot go wrong!

Definitely take a look at the gorgeous pieces Micha Store has to offer (at amazing prices!) and use the code "Amanda10" at checkout to receive 10% off of your entire order! Happy shopping lovelies <3
